WHO WE ARE
A small practice doing careful work.
Stonefall was built around the idea that procurement teams in Singapore often need a quiet outside view — not a large consulting engagement, but a steady, informed presence alongside the people doing the work.
← Back to Home01 · OUR STORY
How Stonefall came together
Stonefall started from a recurring observation: procurement leads at mid-sized Singapore organisations often had clear instincts about where their supplier spend was going wrong, but no practical way to examine it systematically without commissioning something far larger than the problem warranted.
The practice was set up to fill that gap. The three services we offer — a spend review, a consolidation workshop, and an ongoing sounding-board arrangement — were shaped by conversations with procurement professionals about what they actually needed, rather than what consulting firms typically offer.
We are based at Beach Centre in Singapore and work with organisations across industries. Our work is always written — we do not believe in verbal-only advice — and our scope is always defined before we start. What you engage us for is what you receive.
02 · OUR MISSION
What we are here to do
Our mission is to make procurement analysis accessible to organisations that do not have the internal resource to do it themselves — and without the overhead of large consulting structures that make the work expensive before it has produced anything.
We do not manage procurement on behalf of clients. We do not implement systems or manage supplier relationships. We look at spend, surface what we find, facilitate structured conversations, and provide a consistent outside perspective for people who need one.

03 · OUR PEOPLE
The people behind the work
A compact team. Everyone who works at Stonefall is involved in client engagements directly.
Raymond Koh
Principal, Spend Analysis
Raymond spent twelve years in operations and procurement roles across manufacturing and logistics before moving into advisory work. He leads the spend review engagements and structures the workshop facilitation process.
Serene Lim
Associate, Supplier Relations
Serene brings a background in contract management and supplier negotiations from her earlier work with a regional distribution company. She supports consolidation workshops and assists with written output preparation.
Marcus Tan
Research & Client Support
Marcus handles background research and client briefing materials. He coordinates scheduling for the Sounding-Board programme and ensures that written notes are delivered promptly after each session.
04 · HOW WE WORK
Standards we hold ourselves to
These are not aspirational statements. They describe what actually happens in every engagement.
Written deliverables, always
Every engagement produces a written output before it closes. We do not consider a piece of work done until the document has been reviewed, formatted and delivered. Verbal summaries are not a substitute.
Data handling and privacy
Client data shared for analysis purposes is used only for the analysis. We do not retain underlying data after an engagement closes. Any data shared with us is treated under strict confidentiality and is not referenced in any external communications.
Scope discipline
We agree scope before starting and do not expand it during an engagement without a separate conversation. If something outside scope comes up in the work, we flag it and let you decide whether it is worth addressing separately.
No undisclosed interests
We have no commercial relationships with suppliers, platform vendors, or service providers. Our analysis is not directed toward any recommendation that benefits us. We disclose any potential conflict before starting an engagement.
Timelines kept
We set delivery dates at the start of each engagement and work to them. If something prevents us from meeting a timeline, we tell you in advance — not after the deadline has passed.
Honest framing
We will tell you when our analysis does not support a particular course of action, even if that is not what you were hoping to hear. Advisory work that tells clients only what they want to hear is not useful to anyone.
05 · CONTEXT
Procurement advisory in Singapore's business environment
Singapore's business environment places particular demands on procurement teams. Organisations operating here manage supplier relationships that often extend across the region, navigate currency considerations across multiple markets, and work within a compact local supplier base where consolidation decisions carry real commercial weight.
Stonefall works within this specific context. Our knowledge of the Singapore supplier landscape — across categories including professional services, facilities management, logistics support, and technology — allows us to bring informed perspective to spend reviews that is grounded in local market conditions rather than drawn from generic frameworks.
The organisations we work with tend to be at a point where internal capacity to analyse spend is stretched, and where bringing in a large consulting firm would be disproportionate to the question at hand. Our services are sized for that situation: structured enough to produce something useful, compact enough not to consume the attention of the people we are working alongside.
Procurement leads who use our Sounding-Board service often describe it as having access to a colleague with relevant experience and no internal agenda — someone who can engage with a supplier negotiation question or an internal stakeholder challenge without any of the complexity that comes with bringing in an external firm on a larger basis.
WORK WITH US
Let's have a straightforward conversation about your situation.
Most conversations start with someone describing a supplier or spend problem they have been putting off. That is a reasonable place to begin.
